cut the old springs off with whatever metal saw you got or can find, the coilovers will go on without compressing them

dude, with coilovers you atta be able to put those bitchs on... lower if the whole way, i've done that with both of my cars, if its a matter of taking the old springs off then just take the nut till its about to pop off, and then loosen it up with the strut lying on the ground... i just did this a few weeks ago

its pretty dangerous to do it like that, there are hundreds of pounds of force on those springs... i dont think taking them off the ghetto way is a good idea in this instance

If you are extremely careful you might want to try that, but I would rather go to the parts store and get one from 10-15 bucks, even autozones would let you borrow them.

yeah, its pretty ghetto

if you have any c clamps anywhere you can make a set, i used a c clamp cut it in half, got a big long bolt (thread bar?) and then a couple of nuts and kept tightening them up

a few months back, i was helpin this young mexican kid remove his springs, and i forgot about the compressor.. so, here we are, losening the nut that holds the ---- together- im on the wrench and he's holding the spring

all of a sudden, we have the spring in his hand, my wrench a good 20 feet to my right, and everything but the spring and the top part a good 35 feet behind the mexican. it was insane. and the nut that held it together was hotter than ---- for like 5 minutes

spring compressors are your BEST friend
