I am currently in the Air Force and it is not for me. Until you hit 4-5 yrs and SSGt rank your pay checks will suck. I have a wife and 2 kids... i work 2 jobs and never see my kids to make ends meet and have a little extra to buy stuff for my car and presents for the wife and kids. If you are out of shap basic training will suck.. if your flight is full of ------- idiots.. basic will suck. the rules are that they cant make you do more than 15 push ups at a time for punishment but we ended up doing 115 at once because they werent consistently done right. get to 156 and somone falls START OVER... etc... start marching on the drill pad and someone turns left instead of right... YOU PUSSIES HIT THE GROUND AND START MOVING PAVEMENT!!!! ground is 85-100 degrees.. again it also depends on your squadron too. I happened to be in the 320th Training Squadron and it was nicknamed "Alcatraz" or "The Rock" due to its harsh instructors. There was alos 321st "Hotel Hell" 322nd "Candyland" 323rd forget the nickname and then the 324th "Disneyland". Oh and dont get caught in the "Snake Pit" which is the TI's table. They call random trainees over to the table and drill you on your BMT study manual which by the way you have a test at the end of the 4th week. I actually thought the 5th week "warrior week" was fun as hell but I like camping and ----. If you dont like people in your business telling you what to do then dont sign up. All of what I said is unbiased because I actually enjoyed basic because I wasn't a ---- up but you do pay for your teammates ---- ups.

Oh also if you have any paycheck questions holla at me I work in finance. That is it for now. Stealthmode is right as far as the basic training part goes.. His good or bad experiences are his personal agenda because I know I have a shitload of bad experiances and a handfull of good but as far as the training goes he is 100% right.

Oh and if you have any questions about pay just

as of right now, I feel shitty because I just lost my job. so I'm thinking atleast the military is a guarunteed job for 4 years right? I learn a skill, get college credits, maybe mature a little bit, and perhaps gain respect from people knowing I served the country. But 4 years away from san diego is difficult to imagine. I love this place so damn much but it's so expensive to live in. All my best friends are here and I know there's more ----- here than I can count. I dont want any cornfed hoes from kansas if I end up in the middle of nowhere. I know the air force has very remote bases. there's quite a few pros and cons to consider. My time is now 8 days. I gotta get my head out of my *** and think quick. Another thing is, I want to tryout college and if I want to go back to the military later, I can do that. But these ex recruitors are telling me that you can't go back to any branch if you get out of the delayed entry program because it counts as a discharge. they don't have a reason to lie since they are ex recruitors right?
