My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.

This is what my setup is going to look like, most of the stuff is in the correct place except for the Water/Alcohol injection. SHould the pump from the water cooler be before of after the intercooler, should it push or suck the water, what will be less of a load for the pump? Also where is a good place to buy Electric water pumps for cheap that will work in this application. Oh yeah, the main rad is not attached to the other one even though it may look like it, that simply a hose running under the main. |
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
I think there's no dash in VTEC
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
if you go with 450's they will most likely be blue. i dont see any oil lines, which if you get steves, they are stainless steel, so i would make those silver. one other thing i might add...you need some spark plugs. i would like to see how you mount a stacked IC set-up. i wouldnt let your DP facing straight out. other than that, i think your coloring job came out looking just right.
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
i think you spent a ---- load of time in paint on that
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
Jeez guys, i'm not drawing a car here, and yes i know 450's are blue tops, I dont need oil lines cuz i'm just showing my cooling system for the turbo.
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
V-TEC is funny and 450's come in black as well.
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
I fixed it fuckers :P, happy now?
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
LOL
i don`t see any problem tho |
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
well, if you look around, not many people are running an air to water IC, especially a jerry rigged dsm intercooler.
also, no one really posts a ------- paint job doodle that they created while sitting in class this afternoon. with that said, why ---- with a jerry rigged IC, and just put the ------- turbo on and run with it. -just one intercooler will do the trick. no water needed. ---- that water/alchol ---- job. get boosted first. also, CS, my point was, everything else on the paint job is colorcoded, but not the ------- injectors. ;) |

The reason why there is 2 intercoolers is because DSM coolers are tiny, and I want to maximize cooling, so 2 is better than 1 in my case. Not trying to be a dick, but dont knock on my future setup unless you give me a good reason why you think its a waste of time. and as for color, well I could have done everything in black and you'd have no idea what goes where. |
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
refer to #2 ;) no need for all of that stupid ---- you have posted.
http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...MXk1NDE%3D.jpg thats all there is to it boys 3min. im sure kyle can beat this. |
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
LMAO, you crack me up bro, sorry I couldnt fit the girl next door in to my pic.
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
it isnt hard to do a basic kit man, then you can add all of that other ---- on. get boosted first.
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
Boost what though? the engine in my basement that i'm building lol, if I was to boost my current motor i dont think it could handle more than 4 psi.
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
What engine would that be? You can boost almost any motor more than 4 psi.
|

what kind of car do you have now. |
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
ive seeen a john deer pushin .33bars, daily driven ;)
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
air to water intercoolers are great for racing, the problem with them though for street driving is that you have a limited amount of water. so if your water gets hot, you'll be virtually intercoolerless untill it cools down. The water will inevitably get hot. If you are planning on doing it, I'd advise you not to include your air to water setup w/ your radiator, 165o water isn't going to cool your intake charge down at all. The only way to do it correctly is to run a large water reservoir and make it it's own closed loop system. more effort then its worth for a HMT setup IMHO, but it will work.
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
Well as I said above, the 2 coolers are seperated, it just looks like that on the pics, the water cooler will be about 8 inches away from the radiator, and it is a closed loop system, cooler-pump-intercooler-back to cooler, no need for a water resevoir is there? and even with a front mount, if youre not driving fast then the air wont be cooler, but if youre not driving fast then youre also not boosting. in my system even at idle the water will be circulating through the system.

Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
so your drawing lookins like it draws water from the "water cooler" and the water tank why 2 sources?
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
2 coolers, one RAD(olive color) for the engine and 1 water cooler, they have nothing to do with each other, i know the picture tells otherwise but all it is, is a pump water cooler and intercooler
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
i think it's a cool paint job
goodluck wit setup maybe you are making it a little more difficult then it should be but your setup will be different from most |
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
the car's gonna heat up the coolent then ur gonna be trying to cool air with hot fluids which isn't gonna work to well... good luck and let us kno ur results.
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
the car is not going to heat up the water because it is in the water cooler, infront of the rad, i'm gonna have a temp guage to see the results, then i'll compare it with my friend who is running a front mount. we'll see which is the better of the 2 setups
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
youre not planning on using a cca intercooler, or tyrus are you?
.. R u s t ... ;) use 2 oil coolers in series. |
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
What do you mean? Please explain
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
run a reservoir to help w/ heat soak. the more H2O the less chance you have of getting the H2O too hot to cool anything.
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
I think I will, I see what youre saying. Thanks
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
all i'm gonna say is more power to ya man
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
Thanks bro, I will take more pics along the way as i'm doing my whole build/setup, and when i'm done i'll take some nice engine bay shots.
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
your engine after that rediculous setup and u pluggin yourself for doin it

Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
air to water intercooler on a stock honda motor with a turbo setup, and a big condensor to block airflow to the radiator and make cooling suck more.
go you. |
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
Fook, not big, the 5th gen civics have the rad on one side, and the Cooler is gonna be on the other, its going to be a built honda block, running 15+ psi, so I dont see why your thinking this setup is not beneficial.
Air/Water > Front Mount Hotcheeks, youre so ------- ignorant, grow up, the only thing i'll be plugging, is your girlfriend from behind, while i'm grabbing her tits with my greasy hands after installing my setup. Enough whoring for me today. goodnight guys. |

Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
yeah dude, then why do guys run 5 or 600 whp on those shitty air to air coolers.
your adding like 75 to 100 lbs of ---- with this system all for what? to heatsoak it in traffic? |

Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
use your stock air conditioning condenser as a heat exchanger for the A-->W it's free.
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
----, Great Idea, thanks man
|
Re:My planned setup, look inside and let me know what you think.
get a 120v power inverter an put an intercooler in a small fridgerator
