mine did this, anything off idle was 18+v (max out volt guage).

I hear over loading the elec system is a GREAT way to melt wires / start fires (booya rhymes!)

the alternator on my friends crx was overcharging a while back it actually melted his dome light and blew his low beams out

My B series alternator is doing this too. Will a D series voltage regulator fit it? Mine has the oval shapped plug I think, from a 98+.

i dont know if it will work but i know that im not going over 4 k today. too damm tired to swap it out.
