My lights and instrument panel lights go real bright after 4,000 RPM WTF?
Yesterday i noticed this and wondered WTF was happening.Could it be a faulty Alt? is my care that powerful that after 4000 all this power is generated by the little turbo D? probably not but maybe someon one can confirm my hunch.
thats is all..... :y :8 |

the regulator on your alternator is bad, check the coltage, while revving the engine if its above 14.4 fix it

Re: My lights and instrument panel lights go real bright after 4,000 RPM WTF?
mine did this, anything off idle was 18+v (max out volt guage).
I hear over loading the elec system is a GREAT way to melt wires / start fires (booya rhymes!) |

the alternator on my friends crx was overcharging a while back it actually melted his dome light and blew his low beams out

My B series alternator is doing this too. Will a D series voltage regulator fit it? Mine has the oval shapped plug I think, from a 98+.
