Re:my garage...56K **pulled a piston**
yes, I am contradicting myself. :P
I cranked the crank a little last night, and low and behold, all 4 cyl do the same thing.
hotrex, would you mind calling the shop who did the work for you and ask them what is up with it? for real. not being a dick. maybe theres a reason they over honed it.
also, im gonna call SRP tommorow and ask them about piston expansion, and if they do expand, by how much.
jeff says, thats to much. get a new block, im not tryin to over-ride his words, but I just gotta find out for myself. thats how I am.

Re:my garage...56K **pulled a piston**
i have high compression je pistons and there is a noticable piston to wall clearance.
there was so much metal "dust" during break in that it clogged my vtec screen. i guess the pistons were expanding

update from other post...
2. I just got off the phone with SRP tech guys. They laughed at me. I described to him my problem and the guy (tony i think his name was) said in a chuckling manner "when looking down on a piston you SHOULD see a ring. When you look at it from the bottom, you SHOULD NOT be able to see the rings. Piston expansion is huge on SRP pistons. Alot of people break ringlands because they dont leave any room for 'piston slap' and heat expansion, therefore breaking the weakest part of the piston"
I said, "I can accually move the piston back and forth in the cyl" his reply "duah (laughing), thats normal, you need that" he said the only way you can really figure out if its ok, to have it measured. (well no ----) but he said everything I described to him sounds 100% normal to him. So I guess, i will replace the bearings and go with it.
