Did you even read the thread. I dont think new plugs will fix a broken ringland. 75 compression is ok though right ::). But maybe your onto something. Broken motor try new plugs. Maybe the d15b block I have with a rod stickin out of the side just needed a new set of ngk's. Thanks I have been doin everything wrong

I've got a d15 as well with a rod through it, maybe i'll try that. :6 I'm just gonna get another motor in there this one was pissing me off anyway, main seal was leaking bad and it was burning a bit of oil too, and like you said those compression numbers were just gay. I already got ahold of one to put in I just gotta drive a few hours to get it.

If its boosted I would get it retuned has a basic low psi set up shouldnt kill a bottom end like that unless it was already beat

COLD compression test don't forget ;) (on a d15, not b16a).

my guess is that 3 of those would be ok, #4 is ownd tho.

I don't know I think the sound of a Honda is more like a lawnmower.....The WRX sound to me is more manly.....But of course I have one so I might be biased...then againa I've plenty of Hondas too...so I guess I can talk... :P :-*

My daily's D15B7 sat for two years, and then spit out 155-160 psi across the board cold compression. I didn't squirt any oil or anything in the bores at any point in it's two year shelf life.

I guess the guy did it cold engine, and did not open his throttle when cranking. That's cause the low numbers for the normal cyls. There's a good chance the #4 cyl is weak but limpable... just a little oil foulling that plug and you can get her to run okay for the short term while you get your ringland money together.
