Re: Muffler Question

Have a flange so you can always open it right up to get that sweet open d/p tune when you wish to :6 :6

i finally fixed my exhaust after running open downpipe for 4-5 months that ended right under my shift linkage, the only time it is noticeable is sitting still

Re: Muffler Question

get a cutout. electric or manual whatever. I told myself that if I decided to upgrade my exhaust it will be a e-cutout

I thoght if you ran a cherry bomb glass pack it makes you exhaust sound louder. My hole thing is trying to quiet it down.

Re: Muffler Question

im planning on dumping under the center of my car just like the thread starter, but i was simply going to use a resonator right after the downpipe and then finish the 2.5" piping back to the spot of the dump.....is that going to be ridiculously loud or should i find a different method??

dumping under the car will make it seem much louder inside, but it won't be as loud outside. not exactly quiet by any means

Re: Muffler Question

The turbo acts as a bit of a muffler, and with a resonator won't be as loud as an na car with just a res/glasspack etc. Still not quiet like other ppl have said.

Re: Muffler Question

I think it really depends on what your standards of loud are.I live in a city with jack asses with Chevy trucks that have headers and dual glasspacks for exhaust so to me a downpipe to glass pack to side exit turndown was not very loud at all.I used the longest glasspack they had which was 24" i believe or close to that and it really sounded nice when it was new but they wear out quick. :-\ My car was much quiter then the average rice mobile with no cat and a fart can.

i was thinking about doing something similar with this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Magna...49972284QQrdZ1 and turn down under the car :)

Re: Muffler Question

I plan on using a magna flow or a dynomax, something thats deep and quite. It'll have a turn down so it can be mounted higher behind the bumper and painted black. I don't want my exhaust attracting any attention.
