Im a big guy too. Forget the CBR900 and the CBR600s.
My idea of a comfortable bike isnt crouching on all fours with my ankels behind my ears. Trying to look thru a small faring. While suporting my body weight with my fore arms.
These are my recomendations.
1. VFR 750.
2. VF750 / VF1000
3. My Dream bike the Honda Magna fast and brutal even by todays standards.
As you can see Im a big fan of the Honda V-Fours. They pull like tractors. And are the best for big heavy guys.
DOnt sweat the Cam Stories. My ceptor has done 80,000 Kms with only oil changes.
Dont buy anything under 750cc.
Nothing beats a honda bike for cheap and accesible parts.

exactly what he said, CBR's are made for short people
If you're not an experienced rider, I say keep your cars for now. Take your like $1000 and buy something old and small. Learn to ride (and fall) on that for a while.
Bikes are addictive and many people learn the basics of riding get over confident in their ability.
ride by yourself for a good while. It'll let you get the basics down at your own pace and you won't feel pressured to "keep up" with someone more experienced. riding along with more experienced riders who know their steeds better then you can get you into trouble quick. hard to explain the reasoning but after you've been out on the bike for a while, you'll understand what I mean.
There are really only 2 types of riders
Those that have fallen..............and Those that are going to fall!
this guy is 6'4". im 6'3" and on a 600f4i i look like a cirus bear riding a scooter, the frames are just too small
