Motorcycles use straight cut gears, wherein they aren't helical cut which require complete lift of torque to disengage (because of the inherent teeth shape).

More commonly known as a dogbox, you can upshift without the clutch as well, it actually puts less stress on it and saves it a bit (4500 miles and counting on my CR250) all you need to do is apply pressure to the shift lever and just flick your wrist back. Not far at all, almost like your just doing it with your mind, if that makes any sense.

The bottom line is you don't have to use the clutch at all with a dogbox except to get moving from a stop, and 1-2 because of the layshaft design of most sportbikes/bikes in general.

Straight cut gears aren't meshed.

Use a snowmobile engine, clutch/belt combo. Then all you need is some kind of differential and axle. No need to deal with a clutch/gearbox/shifting.

Polaris uses the same gearboxes on their scramblers and trail blazers with a sprocket gear output
