Motorcycle

I've decided to get a bike, and will be going to take the MSF course pretty soon. Anyone have any experiences with it? It cost like 280$ since I'm military and MD isn't my home state. It says on the website that there are no guarantees that you will pass, kinda shitty for 280$ they won't let you go back for free if you suck. I rode a long time ago, so hopefully that won't happen to me. I have been looking at the 250 ninjas for a first bike, they are pretty cheap. This should be pretty fun once it warms up if everything works out.

Just go to the DMV get your permit ride around for the 3months then sign up for the ride test. Only cost me $40 to get my licence. Buy a non sport bike for ur first bike but id get something bigger then a 250

Re: Motorcycle

I took the class awhile ago, went into it with no experience on a bike and passed the road test with flying colors. The test is alittle more involved than the normal road test but the teacher goes over it again and again with you. I would deffantly reconment the class you wont learn all the stuff they teach you on the street, also cant beat the 10% off insurance. Plus the teacher had private lessons for the people who couldnt pass but believe me you will pass, unless you really shouldnt be riding on the road yet. and I agree with 88dx you may want somthing with alittle more ass than a 250 unless your really small.

trust me I made the mistake of buying a ninja 250 2005 model. Within 2 months I was bored as hell and wanted to get a bigger bike. I wouldn't go no less than 600cc for a first bike. You seem to have experience so just be careful and enjoy.

dude find a county/state course it was free for me because i took it when i was 16 (free for people 15.5-18 years old, and $25 for 18-55 and over 55years old it's free, also it was a 3 day class like 10hours of class time and 20 hours of bike time (like 2 10hour days that were 50/50 bike and in class then the last day was 10 hours of riding then if you passed the written and didn't crash the bike you get your license, i went and the one woman couldn't even start out without wheelieing (rev and poped clutch every time) and she still passed you only fail if you crash)

also i think the ninja 250 is more fun than you think (that is what i rode on 2 of the 3 days at the course the other day was a korian knockoff mini harley that was ------ huge for a 250, i think it was called a vento v-thunder or somthing)

$280 is ------- rediculas

---- a licensce or temps. If don't ride like an ass you should blend in with traffic and the not give the 5-0 a reason to pull you over.

y spend 3500 on a bike you will have no more than 2 years tops (and their only livable that long if you live in a really tiny city or don't mind toping out at 105mph and spinning 9000rpm at 65mph

you can get a nice 92-95 500 (same bike but bout 60hp instead of 32, and allot more ridable) for arround $300-1500 in awsome condition
