yeah they needed quite a bit of honing, so we busted out the 40's of 8 ball and went to town.

nothing like draining down a couple OE's while you rebuild a motor.

OE's? Holy ---- thats gangster, were you guys braiding each other's hair too?

the tune was fine, perfectly conservative.

earlier in the day i was attempting to work out my wastegate issues with the internal 14b gate, and the changes i made ended up making a couple unexpected extra pounds of boost in the top of 4th.

dipshits.

bah, ---- happens and parts break (I was at a nice afr in the 11s with conservative timing when my ringlands broke......at 14 psi)...nice work on the quickie rebuild...maybe both of ours will hold together for a bit. I like seeing people fix their ---- fast because ive seen too many cars just sit and collect dust when ---- goes a little wrong (like mine on previous occasions). so instead of bashing him on how/why it broke, he gets a thumbup for getting it moving again

word, 90% of the pussies bashing on it have never boosted a honda, or were to chicken ---- to ever run more than 8psi anyways.

srry if i misseed it but how much boost were you pushing when this happened... were you beating the ---- of it or just cruise'n

it blew at the top of 4th on a 1/4 mile pass. I had spent the day messing with the wastegate and hadn't fixed the problem i thought i had. a little boost creep to the 13-14psi range without the proper timing pulled out did the job.

stfu noob.

What's that now, like; d-series - 6, Fook - 0? ;) Its pretty obvious that detonation killed those ringlands not a lean condition, so obviously your ---- wasnt tuned conservatively enough that your motor couldnt handle a few more lb's of boost for a few seconds.

Update: did a cold temp compression test today (not enough time on lunch break to warm the car up) and tested 195psi give or take a couple psi on all 4 cylinders, appears to be sealing up good.

actually its 4-0 but you were close ;)

are you really still out to seem cool by dogging on my tune?

I thought I made it perfectly clear that no lean condition caused those ringlands to break, and I never argued that detonation is the culprit.

Its not terribly surprising, 19 degrees of timing and weak cast pistons on creeps from 13-14psi, ------- duh.

Like I give a ---- anyways, I already have the motor rebuilt and running good.
