MELTING POINTS!?!?

Default MELTING POINTS!?!?

anyone know of any websites or anything where i can find the melting point of silicone, rubber and PVC, the kind of stuff used for most automotive hoses.

pvc full melting point is about 290

abs around 300, but abs will stand up to high temps like hot water etc..

thats all i know from working in a pipe factory. lol

how hot u reckon a turbo can get? 500degree's c? 600?

the cold section stays pretty cold providing your sucking in cold air..

the exhaust part could get upwards of 800f

as a general rule of thumb should you use silicone hose if connecting anything to the turbo? has anyone had any bad experiences with melting rubber?
