i just dumped in a gallon of lucas, 2 quarts of 20w50 oil, and 1/2 a quart of generic lucas ($6/quart), and now i get 33ish psi at running above 2 grand, 25-30psi between 1300 and 2000, and from idle (600rpm) i get like 11-12psi. definitely beats what i got before, which was 1 and 10

WOW!! People tell you that your bearings are shot and you say that you know they're in good condition? How is this? Did you pull even one main or rod cap? Pretty much the only way you are going to have no oil pressure, especially when the engine is warm, is when the main, rod, and or cam bearings have waaayyyyy too much clearance. When this happens the excess bearing clearance acts like an internal oil leak. Then you say that your old oil pump had severe scoring. Did you happen to think about the fact that all the oil in your engine has to pass through the oil pump. Whatever passed through the oil pump to score the cast iron that the oil pump is made is definitely going to wreak havoc on your bearings. There are other possibilities, but in my pea sized brain this is a dead giaway to your problem. Let us know when that time bomb goes off.
