Loosing sleep over choice of turbo. help me.
well, ive searched, plotted points on compressor maps and all that but i still un sure of which turbo to get.
i had a t3 60 trim and was pretty happy with it, i'm considering getting another one or t3/t4oe 50trim w/48a/r. Its going on a stock block z6, 10-12lbs. i mainly use it for daily driving and occasional track use. Sometimes i thought that the t3 60trim was spooling a little soon... i dunno, just me. I don't really mind a little lag as long as it hits hard up top. HP goals are max safe HP for my stock block... 220-240?
I don't know jack about plotting points on a compresspr map so i wasn't sure what exactly to look for... from what ive read is that center of oval is best efficiency? according to my plotting, the t3/t4 50trim is at about 70-72% @ 10lbs , 7200RPM. is that acceptable?
the t3 60 trim, plots points at dead center of the oval @10lbs , 7200RPM... also at 5lbs @7200 its still in the center oval.
i have plans to build a spare block for next spring but its not a huge prioity for me right now... I figure since i have the oportunity to buy a new turbo, i might as well explore my options. You think i will have any additional gains by going with the larger turbo? or is it gonna be too sleepy down low for city driving?
thanks

mahcivic ran a turbonetics t3/t04e 50 trim 48ar on his d series, it was ------ quick... id run that. i used a t3/to4b s trim 48ar on my d series and it also mashed.... if go with a smaller t3/to4 over the 60 trim.
