I bought one of those pieces of ---- that had a lifetime warrenty, and me and my friend broke it, walked back it got another and about 3 more before they ran out so we ended up putting the bar on the ground and put the car in reverse and dumped the clutch, both bolt and bar broke.

1" Impact, and about 195psi of air rattling it!! Thing will break ayhting off. Even your wrist if you don't hold tight!!!!

Re: Loosening some CV shafts

We had this same problem this past weekend on my friend's 95 accord axle nut.
We had a 12ft pipe on the breaker bar. Broke the craftsman ----, and then another. Then we bent the pipe in half. And yes, we heated it with the acytlene torch for a long ass time and used the impact gun on it for hrs. We ended up cutting it up with a cut off wheel until the nut dropped off the axle. The axle ended up being fucked but this was our only option.
I've never had this much trouble with an axle nut....a crank shaft pulley nut, yes, but an axle nut, no. It looked lilke the ------- who installed the nut used some kind of epoxy to hold it on (who knows why), b/c the inside of it had some strane coloring to the threads, and that would partially explain why the ---- it took us a day to get it off.

FYI sometimes it will be easier when your break it loosen by TIGHTENING it first

Sudden force helps too, just standing on it won't get the job done. I've never had a lot of trouble with an axle nut, I've always put a 1/2" drive on there along with a trailer hitch...yes, a trailer hitch. You're not going to break that ----.

Oh, and coca cola. I've always used some coke on that ---- too.

Did u just say not break that ----?
We bent a pipe in half, i've broke 3 different 1/2 drive crafstman ratchets, 2 breaker bars.

We did try tightening it too with one pretty massive impact wrench, that thing was the bitchiest nut i've ever encountered in my life. Cutting was the only option.

I would bet yours had loctite on it, I don't know why anyone in their right mind would put loctite on an axle nut expecially when there is a tang that get's bent down to help it not to move. BTW the damn thing only gets torque to 135lbs.

As for u 37, take a 5 or 10lb sledge and give the stem one good whack, don't hit it a couple of times, just one good one, and then hit it with the impact wrench. I'll put money that bitch comes loose.

I know those accords are -----s to do brake jobs on, once at a shop i worked at it took 4 different guys slamming the ---- out of the hub with a slide hammer with penetrating lube every 5 minutes to get the ------- hub off. Hopefully the torch is enough to get this off, else it's another week to wait so i can afford a air compressor ;D
