Re: Learn how to drive a forklift

I used to work at the dundalk marine terminal in md and i drove a lift all day every day and ive seen a few things happen like dropping a 40ft container from about 15ft and also dropping bundles of pipe that was 3 pieces of pipe that were 1" thick and about 14' long and was about 12" in diameter called Timken for large wheel bearings i believe and that ---- would break the bands and go rolling and they weighed about 800 pounds a piece. We used to move alot of heavy ass ---- like ---- that weighed anywhere from 2,500 pounds to 160,000 pounds. we had just about everything go in and out of there.

Yeah I've seen people run into a cinder-block wall with one, rip down the door above it and take a few bricks with it. I worked at a cardboard factory a while back, and they have huge huge rolls of paper, probably 5-6ft wide and 6+ ft tall. If I remember correctly, they weigh at least 1, I'm thinking 2, tons. Some guy dropped one from about 20ft high. They have huge "grabbing" things and stack the rolls way ------- high. Made quite a sound and scared the ---- outta everyone.

Forklifts aren't hard, you have to be a moron. They drug test the guy?

Timken is a brand. I have a pile of their bearings left over from my Triumph days.
