Here in missouri there is a shoot first policy, meaning if someone enters your home you can kill them without first identifying them as a threat, I'm sure in California this lady would be in prison.

I posted this because its a perfect example of why gun laws are stupid and shows how you cannot always depend on the police to protect you.

I think in CA she'd still get off, but here you have to be in fear for your life and you have to be able to somewhat prove that. i.e. you cant shoot someone in the back unless you can prove they were turning around reaching for something.

from what i understand about the laws around here if you have cwp you can shoot someone who is commiting a felony and or violent crime. also if some one tries to rob you when you are in your car you can shoot them

If it was YOUR house gettin' broke into, wouldn't you want your neighbors to do the same?? local cop here told me that you can shoot if the criminal is in the commencement of a felony, breaking into a house to commit a crime is burglary which is a felony in wisconsin. so if you feel your life is in danger any time someone is in your house, which i would, you can shoot. just make sure to hit them in the front.

oh and crx2211 what the ---- is an unregistered gun? and why would that have any bearing on anything even if it did have any merit?
