She tried to call 911, but couldn't because the power was off. She got a shotgun and waited as the man began banging on the basement door. She fired when Preyer came crashing through the door. When Preyer collapsed, the woman escaped and went to a neighbor's home, where she called police. Officers, who arrived within a minute, found a bleeding Preyer stumbling away from the house. He was taken to St. Francis Medical Center, where he died several hours later.


"I will not be filing any sort of charge against this 57-year-old woman, who was clearly justified under the law in shooting this intruder in her home," Swingle said. :y

yeah, that guy that shot those beaners with a shotgun who were robbing his neighbors house while he was on the phone with 911 got off aswell. Justice is nice.

In the past year we've had at least a couple home invasions that ended in death for the culprits. One was in my apartment complex (which is one of the nicer ones) while I was sleeping.

Nobody gets charged.

Good work on her part. I feel bad because it sounds like she went thru some ---- before she got the gun.

I think rape victims should get free guns, to protect themselves after someshit like that happens.
