never had that problem myself, but i've taken care of a ton of people after they had the surgery. pain control and physical therapy = good results. good luck man!

Well I just got back from the Doctor's office for a physical before the surgery and it looks like we're good to go. He showed me some more images from the MRI and I have to say that machine is worth every damn penny they charge for it. it had the neatest slides I've ever seen. It even had sections where, imagine they chopped up your leg like slices of bread then you can look at each individual slice! crazy.
You could clearly see the tear in the images, it's on the inside c-section of my knee. They won't know whether they can repair it or just have to clip it off until they get in there.

They said they can either put me to sleep during the surgery, or give me a spinal injection and let me watch. I think I'm going to sleep- I'm too much of a pansy to watch medical stuff, I could never be a doctor.

I work in the medical field. Ask your doctor for a Prescription for a ROLLER-AID. its alot better then crutches.

Eh, my mom was diagnosed Monday with Leukemia Generica. Apparently, she gets to take pills that cure the symptooms for the next 10-15 *years* and if it's not gone by then she starts chemo. I'm not even remotely bothered by it? The way Momma put it is that she's been afraid of Alzheimer's for a while now (people get it in my family despite intelligent people being less prone to it) and frankly would rather die of cancer; a ------- decade and a half from now. I agree with her. When my dad died, statistics placed her life expectancy at 72... now its up to 73... she looks at it as cancer giving her an extra year - can't say I don't agree.

Not that my best hopes and wishes aren't with you; fucked up ---- happens to good people, but you're young and strong so even if it is a bad form of cancer you have a good fight in you. (Yes, I know you are late 30s) I have to say I'm not worried about you; you're HMT, a nig nog, and you don't take ---- from anybody or anything.

If it's anything like a epidural, like they give women during childbirth, take the general. Most women who have a spike shoved in their spine have back problems the rest of their life, ---- that.

My pops had knee surgery. He just had the local, and it maks recovery time much quicker to not have to deal with the after affects of general anesteshia
