Maybe kimbo did throw the fight and had some mucho bucks on that he would get knocked out in the first round. If anything that would of been his best shot. Im sure he even knew he wasnt much more than a brawler who has no technical training.

Kimbo did not throw the fight. He got hit with a relatively light jab but since he was moving forward in an almost shot-like position it tweaked his chin back and twisted his neck. That's what put him down. Then Seth pounded him out. Seth owned him, period.

My point is these mma fighters even the best are subpar fighters compared to trained boxers. Ill say it till I die the fact I look good throwing a punch compared to guys who are supposed top 10 fighters in the world is sad. I started at a very young age and got thrown in the ring before I was a teenager but ---- can one of these fools actually learn how to actually keep their hands up and learn to ------ throw a punch.

Top 10 ranked boxers in the world will lose maybe 3-4 fights over a 10+ year career, yet we have mma fighters who have 12-5 records and are considered some of the best in the world. Its a ------ joke.

The best are subpar compared to boxers? Is that because boxers have 16oz gloves that are much larger, allowing more blocking area, which in turn promotes worse blocking form? Or is it that boxers do not need to worry about kicks? Or boxers don't need to worry about being taken down, slammed, and having their arm, shoulder, leg, or neck locked up?

The fact of the matter is there are so many more ways to get tooled. In boxing your fighters are lumped into "boxers" and "brawlers." In mma there are a ton more disciplines and styles. Kimbo was throwing a punch and going for a shot at the same time, and he got called on it. In boxing you punch either the body or the head. There have been a ton of pro boxers with outstanding records that add ground work and kickboxing to their games.. and guess what they get owned.

Alessio Sakara... Italian boxer 6-1 in a 2 year span. He decides to go mma and has been getting tooled. He boxed Chris Leben, hitting him with combos, and Leben drops him with a single punch.

Ricardo Arona... UNDEFEATED in grappling tournaments. In fact, no one has EVER scored a point on Arona in ADCC competitions. His record is 13-5 in mma. He is far from the best in the world in mma, but in one dimensional submission grappling he is THE best there has been so far. 3 of his losses are due to KO/TKO, 2 to decision.

Btw we have successful amateur boxers in my BJJ club at college and trust me they would get absolutely TOOLED by the amateur mma guys, even the ones that are fairly one dimensional (muay thai primarily, wrestling primarily, etc).
