I have thought about putting the smaller pulley on, but I'd rather find the real issue. Maybe the cams are off time, I've seen eco's off one tooth without any failures excluding a loss in performance.
As for you buttsex, I've seen eco's take a lot more hp than mine has before it blew. Mine was most likely due to fatigue. I've driven this car hard from day one. It does open track days, autoX, drag racing and worst of all my daily driving habits. I'm actually suprised it held up as long as it did.

With Hp tuners you can modify the existing fuel maps and re-write the data on the stock computer. You can turn off any CEL's, datalog etc. I just wish they had as many options on the progam as they do for other cars like the Fbodys.
My cav has the 2.2 ecotec..... so no need to do the 2.3 oilpump swap

Like did you modify your stock program, or did you need to start with an ss cobalt program that already has boost? He has the older 2.2 before ecotec, I think it's a '99 but I don't think any of them came stock with boost?
