First, THE MOST HILARIOUS FRIGGIN' THING EVER - An oldie but goody and still makes me almost wet my pants laughing....

Secondly, I do NOT go to church. Churches are full of backstabbing, nasty-*** women who just want to talk bad about you behind your back. At least in Florida and Virginia, the two places I have attempted "church." They all think they KNOW what God wants and what we're supposed to do but unless you are GOD, you don't know ----! I absolutely believe in a higher power - there's too much unexplained in the world not to believe in that (at least for me), but is it the way the Christians, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc. etc. ad nauseum say it is? DOUBT IT! I believe in being a good person, a good parent, a good friend, working hard, trying to put forth good in the world is the answer. Following a bunch of hokey-pokey steps is a bunch of bullshit IMHO.
As George Carlin says...
God is an all-powerful being, and if you don't do exactly what he says, you will burn in the fiery depths of hell for all eternity!!....but he loves you!
Anthony worked with a guy who died in his sleep one night of a heart attack at the ripe old age of 40. He had two twin daughters, age 3, who will never remember him, but he loved them dearly. He had a wife he loved and didn't cheat on. He'd had the same job for quite a few years, worked hard and provided for his family. At the funeral, another guy from the company said it was such a shame, that Tom was such a nice guy, but he wasn't saved so he wasn't going to heaven. Anthony was PISSED! So because he hadn't gone through some Bible-thumping ritual but had lived his life as a good and decent man, he is banned from heaven? And how the HELL does he know that anyway? Does he talk to God? What happened to "judge not, lest ye be judged?" Churchgoing Christians are the most judgmental people I know.
Sorry if I'm ranting, but living in the Bible Belt, I've had it up to my DD **** with the religious BS.

Thsi type of problem is not a recent one and if someone is convicted of these acts then they are withdrawn from their position within the church.
