You are all right, whoever is paying the most taxes is really irrelevant. I sat down with my last pay stub from last year and crunched some #'s. Last year I grossed $32K. I brought home $25K. $4K went to income tax, $400 went to medicare, $1300 went to state taxes, and my own insurance expenses etc. etc. came to $1,200. I got took for $4K of my hard earned money and I don't recall getting ANY type of service or help from the federal gov't whatsoever. If anybody has some similiar #'s they would like to compare that would be cool, so we can all get a good idea of how bad we're getting FUCKED, OR not....
