I'm running E 85

Just thought i'd share my experience with e 85. I've been reading a lot of conflicting info about running ethanol in a gasoline engine. Mainly problems with fuel lines and fuel pumps come to the top of the list when deciding to run the fuel or not. But i have to believe that all fuel components should be compatible with ethanol because its been in our gasoline for many years now and the engineers when making new cars had to take this into account. Theres no way they would design a fuel system that was only slightly resistant to ethanol. So i decided to try it out. I live in WI so e 85 is everywhere at one point as cheap as 1.99 a gallon which offsets the reduced gas mileage u get when running ethanol. My set up is D16y8 stock running 10 psi on a vafc 390cc injectors with water/alcohol injection . So far the motor is running real strong, i can really notice more torque and my motor actually seems to be much happier with the new fuel. the only negative so far is that its a bit stumbly at first when the car is cold. I plan on changing my fuel filter soon as the ethanol releases deposits in the fuel tank and lines. I know my post may seem a bit everywhere but what can i say its 4 20 :6

E85 has more than 8 times the amount of ethanol than what gas stations put in regular gasoline. Over time it can and will deteriorate your fuel lines and pump.

Your tune will be off, You have to run a richer AFR with E85 to be equivalent to gasoline.

I took into account the fact that i need to tune for it, i added fuel with the vafc. You seriously believe that it will ---- with my fuel lines and pump huh? I can't really decide for myself if it will or not. People in brazil have been running on ethanol for many rears now. Theres just so much conflicting info out there i had to try for myself

Gasoline AT MOST contains 10% ethanol... E85 is 85 % ethanol as i understand it. Yes, it can ---- up soft fuel system parts, and corrode hard parts (lines etc)

Any credable link to the fact that e 85 will ---- my fuel system up???

Oxidation reduction reaction. You're providing the environment for it to take place

Do a google search for e85 corrosion, e85 conversion, e85 anything.
