Absolutely nothing wrong with the evo!! How can people not like it
I've been in stock evos , 4g63s with 35R's and some pretty dam scary STi's. Gota respect the 4wd turbo that lights up in 3rd gear

Don't be hard put about that, but if you deny that the entire point of a car-show is to have a vulgar display of wanking to the only thing that someone who isn't a motorhead can judge (aesthetics) then you're in denial.

Not to say I don't enjoy a good car-show.
There are certain shows that can be like that, but I'd have to say the majority of shows that I've been hitting up seem to focus alot more on the performance end of things lately. The days of ricey fast and funkiest shows are coming to an end, and judging from what I see I think you're going to see way more JDM inspired rides out there other than the typical Honda/Nissan crowd. Granted there are the group of body-kit mentality neon light rice rides that still linger and probably will linger for quite some time, but those are the one's who aren't going to win any shows and are made fun of by pretty much everyone else. ICE type rides and other "top flight" contestants are a totally different group which pretty much showcase the totally impractical, and even they know it.
Actually the biggest thing around me lately is mini-trucks. Everyone wants to build one now like it's the newest big thing, which is kind of funny since where I moved from almost 10 years ago used to have more mini-trucks than Honda's at the time and that was the reason I bought my first CRX...because it was something different than all my previous trucks and eventually led me to this site in my quest for more cheap power.

A lot of guys bust my nuts about how much time I spend cleaning and detailing my car, but guess what...when it comes judging time, I'll usually win something because my car is simply cleaner than theirs. It shows pride in owning your car. Sorry if that doesn't fit in with HMT's philosophy anymore, but guess what...I'm making money off this ---- just from people seeing my work first hand and wanting me to do their rides too. Plus I won another award this weekend at another large local car show, so I'm obviously doing something right.
no car shows are for trailer queens that have not nor will ever see the open road let alone a track day
tho i must admit those evo's are ------- sick i would kill for an evo rs

Oh Jesus Christ on a cross! You guys are talking ---- about this guy's car when you drive a 10+ year-old Honda worth about 1/8 of this guy's car. Sure it's not the most beasty EVO on the road, but it's somewhat tastefully done and is a great daily driver. He never claimed it was the fastest car around lol. 25psi isn't exactly turtle pace either.

OP, I think your car is great and all these fucktards talking ---- are either jealous or haven't felt AWD+turbo yet. ETS is siqqqqqqq btw. They're way better than AMS or Butcher and are still a smallish company that puts out really nice quality parts. I think you did a fine job with what you had to work with. I do think you should get the retarded Injen stickers off your car though. Nice job on the runner up place too. Keep on keepin on NGA! Mitsu powa!

You are correct sir...it's a 35% increase in downforce over the rear wing just from the vortex generators and it definitely adds to stability at speeds over 110mph.
CRX2211 I'm eventually going to ditch the Injen intake/licp/uicp in favor for ETS's pieces. They're a much better quality IMO, and honestly the Injen's fitment isn't the greatest with the aftermarket fmic. It's a great setup for all stock pieces, but that's the limit.

And I think you need to pound sand noobfag. Get off the HMT nut and do something for yourself for a change. After all, that's what this site was originally founded for. :P
