Yea the code for that motor is an EJ255 for the newer ones, newest being the best (Have scooby VTAKK), and the older was EJ25D I think, simply stating DOHC.
The newer one would be a better bet with the sodium filled valves and slightly thicker cylinder wall, as well as being semi-closed deck.
The older ones were a bit more prone to "head gasket problems" simply because of it being open deck, I'd guess moderate cylinder shift, this could always be addressed with an O-ringed head gasket.
Or you could always be a baller and put together an EJ22T block with your RS heads that you already have and get the old school bulletproof EJ22K of WRC STi fame.
That'd be a sweet car.

10k is 5% of 200k witch is not that much. Do it, but buy a ------- house after that!
