I would lock your money up in real estate - they say ever ten years the value doubles. Statistically a new business will fail 9 times out of 10, and it will take all your money with it.

throw the money into a savings account. ING is like ~4% i think. After a year you got ~8k. There goes the fund for your project. and you still have the original $2XX,XXX. Make the money work for you.
