That are made strong the only weak part is the flange, I used a thinner flat glass because the diamond drill kept crack thicker flat glass. Overall I would say they made are pretty durable.

Just ordered mine with a custom request. We'll see how this plays out. I'll be happy without the custom touch, just to get the damn thing.

It can be done and the bowl has been where the crab is (see pic about 1/4 from the top). I normally don't make them like that because in my opinion it doesn't look as nice and come out as clean looking
