I'm fucked--55 yrs old no job since November, lost most of my 401k, no health insurance, at least i'm getting unemployment and my son is helping me with the bills, that is his decision, thank God for him. and we haven't had to stop on the father & son build, just slow down

It feels like things have been better since January started, but I guess not for the broader market.
Some of my neighbors are walking out on their houses and moving into apartments. Some of these people with more then 10 years of equity in their homes.

Come to california place is falling apart you dont have to watch the news to know the state is bankrupt,cities are going bankrupt. Stores closing on every corner. California is the heart of the us economy and the failure of this state is a huge reason we are in this boat.
From what I can see is simple, small purchases under 1000 dollars are going fine. Large ticket items are hard to get rid of just like the olden days of the 80's. Apparently the word finally got out that making 10 bucks an hour doesnt make you deserve much more than an apartment and a used truck,
