on the 94 the black molding is ruber and its wraped aronud the glass the gulass needs to come out to take out the molding.

That's what I thought about the 97, it looked like that, but it doesnt go all the way around. The rubber had a channel in the middle where the glass went into, but the side inside was shorter than the side outside. So it was being held by the glass, but it can be taken out. Well at least on the 96-00. I would think yours is the same. That should give you plenty of room to paint.

I'm sure it's the same, you should be able to pull it out. I did body work on a 94 integra....Same thing

I still think you can take it out.
