hey shortyz if you could figure out a way to wire up a led to the knock senser that would be awsome.

The knock sensor is always giving off signals to the ECU. It is like a noise sensor, and the ECU will simply filter the small noise and only back the timing off when it sees the large spikes. So a light hooked up will be on all the time unless you had a circuit which would only come on if it reached a certain voltage.

hey beau. i need to know what voltage the knock sensor is reading at idle and ----..

and also whats the voltage when it "knocks"

When the engine runs it pulses. I will get my meter and get what you need to make the light.

see what i was thinking is a set of maybe ten leds green on one end red on the other sorta like those led a/f guages but instead it goes in to the red with it get a voltage spike and just hovers around in the green the rest of the time. shortyz i know you can do it. :)

now what would be realy cool is if you wired up your washer lights to turn on when VTEC was engaged :o
