^ ^ LOL!

uhm.. first off all.. make sure your car is on recycled air. Then make sure your dial is set to cold. and make sure NO vents are open.

Open that little breather vent beside the coin tray while you are driving.

Make a heatshield for that sucker, HMT style!!

Did you take the heat sheilds off the body of the car? I think carpet will help but you might want to try and put some kind of relective material on the bottom.. Someone suggested the dynomatt stuff.. put it on the bottom of the car so the shiny side will reflect the heat out. You could probably get some of that insulating tape from homeboy depot and do the same thing. They use it for ducting in houses.

lol@beau.

well i do roll my windows down. i have the outside vent thingy by the coin tray open. i have all my vents shut and the temp knob is set on cold. and the vents are set on recycle. all this has been done...the heat mainly comes from the firewall area...and the " bump " in the middle of the car. you know where the shifter is and the ebrake are. The exhaust pipe is under there and alot of heat comes off that too.. No heat shields were there when i got the car. Im going to have a sun roof put in by a respectable place here in town so i know they will do a good job and i cant wait for my ------ carpet but im gonna go see if homedepot has some of that insulating tape today...thats a good idea. thanks but other than that. i still have the heat dilema...but thanks anyways ppl

Well this tape is used for hvac in a house.. it looks kinda like aluminum wrap but its tape. it was just an idea it might not even help. a heat sheild would work.. See if you can find some thing gauge sheet metal.. aluminum if possible. cut it in strips and mount it on the firewal and tunnel with a small gap between it and the floor.. That will absorb some of the heat before it gets to the car..

that's why you don't tell them you drive a honda. I was at autozone buying a cheap ass tach and the cashier was starting conversation with me, and asked what car I was putting it in, and when I said "civic" he didn't look at me or speak to me again.
