The car never overheated and it did have anti-freeze, but like I said it was and still is coooooold. -15* or so was the windchill, but without the wind easily single digits to low negatives. I think it's going to get towed home tomorrow and Dad and Pap are going to fix it. Thanks for all the help guys, but how can we prevent this from happening again?

All I ever use is straight anti freeze. Here in Kentucky you never know for sure what the weather is going to be except for a few months in summer. And I know if filled my radiator with water in june I'd forget and sometime in october it would freeze and crack my block or something.
try torque ing the head studs again. that usaully only works if it starts overheating in boost though.
