homemade solid mounts?

i was thinking about the article where the devcon liquid aluminum was used to fill the block, and wondering to myself, why couldn't you use that to make some homemade solid mounts? anybody see a reason this wouldn't work?

SOLID being the key word. i have homemade poly mounts but i think solid would do better for less flexing, and i'm on a budget so hasport/equivalent mounts are out of the question.

well yea i dont see why not.

get a bucket, throw in a layer of salt, put the mount in it, put salt/sand around the mount, fill the mount with devcon. i dont see why not

i would worry about that too, but whats the purpose of block guards- to keep the sleeves stable at 7000 rpm with 15psi being crammed into them :S

it'd be a good test
