Take a razor blade and scrap the middle of the nail, almost like making a thin racing stripe. Just do it till you can start to feel the nail getting thinner when you push on it. I had to have one toe operated on, and was about to have the other done. Then somebody told me to try this. Kicks ass, takes a ton of pressure of the sides. Anytime I start feeling a toe start hurting, I do this and within 30 minutes the swelling will be gone.

that happens at least once every few months on either one of my fingers or toes. guess i should stop cutting them so close

it look alright, I would def.ly Not cover it up as much and let it dry up. Just don`t wear socks and shoes for a few day

what he means is thin out the toenail so it bends easier. it will releave the pressure so the swelling will go down. scraping it with a razorblade takes some of the nail off to make it more bendable. try it, it might work.
