HMT Mini DynoDay Hotness
Just got back from the dyno.
Not too many pics right now, but Ill add more later after work, and there will be a short vid later as well.
Dustin's VW TQ-monster didnt disapoint @15psi
297whp and 260ft-lbs @15psi
Things were running a little rich up top and had some small ignition misfires, but nothing that Aaron couldnt fix with the MegaSquirt, and gapping the plugs a little tighter.
The Lagmonster CRX,
Jeff's *** dyno is still in good calibration, as he called it at Three ------- fifty
Was able to pick up a few ft-lbs across the high cam with some cam gear adjustments. Engine also responded to some additional timing on high cam, but Im not going to push it on pump. The low TQ output shows this, and Im ok with it. This baby should hold together well.
355whp and 233ft-lbs (w/ a controlled 16psi creep from 7800ish to 8500)
Jays NA 1.8l Coupe did ok. We were hoping for high 190's, maybe a 200. Jeffs *** dyno reported 185, and it layed down 187 on the first pull.
The engine didnt seem to respond much to cam gear adjustments. A few ft-lbs were picked up on the top end with some timing adjustments, but for the most part, the street tune was very close to final #'s.
Ended up with 190 and 130ft-lbs

Those are some nice graphs! Dustin's car is probably going to surprise a lot of people on the street, and I'm sure "Three ------- Fifty" feels pretty damn good in a CRX. You guys are both gonna be running at BOTI right?

Good job today guys, wish I could of stayed longer but Jays car was giving me quick signs of limp ****, especially after he said he wanted to do like 15 pulls.
The Rules of HMT dynoing,
- when Rich on the top end, simply add more boost
- If you need 2-5 more hp to hit your goal, just add 2-5 more degrees of ignition timing
- Rev limiter isnt cool on the dyno
- When making changes to fuel maps, make drastic changes, because everyone is impatient (smooth it out later)
- If the Golden Corral isnt open, stop at everett izzys for lunch
