HMT is like an online family. Technical sections are the shop/garage, and GD is the family room. You have fights in the family room, you talk about regular stuff in the family room, you visit with your family in the family room. You don't always need to be talking about tech, somtimes it's just about stuff.
I say keep GD, and behave as if you family was in the room with you, then it will all will be homey again.

The only reason I knew it was more than that is because everyone PM's me bitching about it.
Nobody likes your idea of removing GD, I bet you would get a better response if you were to ask if you were going to remove yourself or maybe change the way you act on hmt.
