Re: hey are WWW.SSAUTOCHROME.COM wastegates any good
I've got a SSAC 35/38mm. Been usin it for about 12k miles. I've pulled it apart a few times to change springs b4 i got my mbc. The diaphram looks slightly worn but nothing bad, but then again i dont know how a tial would compare if pulled apart, so chances are its probably in good shape. No problems with mine, holds really steady at 7psi and now 11psi with the mbc.
OT: Anyone have problems with their mbc's not letting you boost under 10psi lol? I've got a turbosmart and at its full tightest point of "less boost" it still boosts 9.5-10psi. I thought it might help if i changed wastegate springs so i put the 5psi springs back in but it made no difference.

I will be using an SSAUTO tial style wastegate. Where can you buy replacement diaphrams? I'd like to replace mine once per year for safety.
BTW I am only 20 yrs old and I'm finally boosting. The net is a vast ocean of knowledge...as long as you have a craving for knowledge, an obsession for cars, and a minum wage job or rich *** parents...then you are ready to boost.

yep, i was 16 when i first had my swaped and turboed 86 accord. And that was all custom work 100% done by me. And this was with no money/job or help from parents. I sold everything i had lmao. It was a challenge considering it was a 86 honda accord. But what a great learning experience! Start young, it will really help in the long run. I still have it today but with no tranny and im 18 now.
btw: to keep it on topic. I have a ssac wastegate and i havent had any problems what so ever with it other then the fact that i only have a 5 psi spring in it and it pushes 9psi lmao

Looks good jeff, but do you really going to need it? I think you should stick to internal wastegates, unless you have the funds and can run everything that way. It's up to you, but to keep cost down I would stick with the internals.
