H22A or B18C-R
which one is better overall? im planning on getting one of them but only had any experience with the h22a. it will be going into a 95 hatch. is there a big difference in power? this will probably be an NA setup.

Re:H22A or B18C-R
NA. I would go B18. its from the type R. the type R is made for high RPM abuse. if your gonna go all motor, go B18.
now you have my $.02 ask abaz. he would be able to help you out. he said hes been lurking the all-motor forum on www.honda-tech.com 8) |
Re:H22A or B18C-R
Well, i would thikn the h22 would be better for all motor, mostly because of teh displacement. THe type R motor is already built for high rpms and such, but its still double the price tag of the h22. with the money you spend on the b18, you could build that h22 up nicely, or put together a nice ass turbo kit and push 10 psi on the h22, and im sure that would be a setup good for 12's....

Re:H22A or B18C-R
don't bother spending the 6 grand into an h22 just find a nice b18c1/c5 and mildly build it then boost it.. or go cheap and get a built lsvtec + boost

Re:H22A or B18C-R
Just get a D16, turbo the ---- out of it, and spend the rest of the money you saved on hookers and hard drugs. :D

check the 1/4 mile times and go from there. you will find the fastest combos are not H series or a B18 -type R. I think its because no one here has enough dough to buy a H series or a type R motor.... :'( sad but true. |
