You don't buy things you can't afford eh? Then why are you throwing money away for something that you won't own? I've never leased a car, but from what I gathered you're basically RENTING it. I could be wrong though, I've never messed with a lease like I said.

It's dumb to spend money on something and get absolutely no return out of it. I had good credit at the age of 19 from a couple car loans and such. Unfortunately I made some mistakes and credit took a dive, but I'm working on it. Like the others said, when you go to buy a house you'll need the credit. I'm stuck paying rent at an apartment because of this.

leasing a car is actually a very stable option. little to no depreciation, everything is under warranty. its really a good deal

Dude i owned a range rover, m5 and a jeep wrangler a couple months ago with no liens on any of them.
I appreciate your concern but i think i'll be fine.

I'm just trying to get into something a little crazy that will make me happy. I'm just worried about Italian service bills.....
Hence the leasing.

lol, if you think I care about what vehicles you've owned in a certain amount of time, I don't. Sorry for the inconvenience.

If blowing money on a "crazy" italian car improves your self confidence and floats your boat then go for it. I just don't enjoy throwing money into something I don't get to keep. At least you realize maintenance is going to be even more of an ass-raping, that's the only positive thing I see about leasing.

Oh, and no concern here :-*

I'm not trying to be an -------. Simply saying what i know.
If you buy any new vehicle, whatever it may be. The second you title it and drive it off the showroom floor if you pull a u-turn and try to sell it back. The average (they say) you're going to get back is 15-20% less than what you paid an hour ago.
With a lease at least you know that they're factoring in the depreciation and you have no obligation to the car. Every economics teacher i've had has sworn by leasing. I have never leased a car either for the credit and stated income reasons involved in this thread.
As for blowing money. ---- it. You guys all know we're gonna die in a couple years right?
When we're all choking on some toxic nerve gas or whatever it may be. I just want to be able to reminisce on the time i was getting a blow job in a gallardo.

Leasing a car is a good way to get into a car you really can't afford. At the end of the lease you have the option to buy. You end up paying more than what you normally would in the end if you choose to buy it, but at least you get the vehicle you want. What kind of car is it? :6

Also, I don't suggest talking to ANY collection agency. They are cock suckers and unless you plan to pay them off, they won't be anything else. Paying them off would be retarded unless they agree IN WRITING to delete the negative account after payment is made. Even then, unless it's stopping you from buying something, it's not really worth paying off IMO. A collection account is a collection account. Paid or not, it's still a collection account.

You're fucked. That's going to bite you in the ass one of these days. I suggest getting a credit card with no annual fee and just use it for gas or food or whatever. Make payments, even if you can afford it big baller. :P Credit is what makes the world go round. :S

Yeah, I agree as far as buying a new car it's probably a good way to go for the depreciation factor. I'm just the type that will probably never buy a new car regardless of the money I have just because of how much value it loses as soon as you become the owner.

I guess I just would end up more pissed about blowing money on a car than most people would. I've always driven beaters and have been happy with it, although I am looking at something "nice" for early next year, which will still be not-new.
