Got shitty credit?

Just a little tip for those of us who have shitty things on our credit reports. You can dispute any informtaion on your credit reports and have a decent chance of getting ---- removed/deleted. I've had SEVERAL accounts deleted from my credit report and just received the results from my most recent dispute which resulted in 1 account being deleted from Equifax and Experian and 3 accounts being deleted from Transunion. Not only that, my repo last year now shows up as "Paid after collection" with a 0 balance. :6 I didn't pay them ----. :1

You have to do it on all 3 reporting agencies which will cost you about ~$15 each unless you find a deal or a discount. I claimed these accounts didn't belong to me and they give the company 30 days to verify and if they can't verify, it gets deleted. I'll do it again next year and probably have more ---- removed. My credit will be awesome in May 2010. :1

You can get a free report from www.freecreditreport.com but they will enroll you in some horseshit credit monitoring thing free for 30 days. Just cancel it in a day or 2 and you won't be charged for anything. I think the other one to try is www.annualcreditreport.transunion.com

Re: Got shitty credit?

annualcreditreport.com is the real completely free one. You get one free credit report from each of the companies once a year. (sometimes more often depending on the state)

Its generally suggested that you check one at a time, and every 4 months check the next one. That way rather than being able to only access once a year, you'll be able to keep a better eye on them

Re: Got shitty credit?

freecreditreport.com is free as long as you cancel your membership within 30 days. I think they put a $1 charge on your credit card just to verify, but that goes away after a day or so.

annualcreditreport.com

free .. but only 1 time a year.

freecreditreport.com is a scam

www.annualcreditreport.com is the one to use.

How do you figure? ??? I just used it and there was no scam involved. ??? Are you talking about the credit monitoring membership? You can cancel that and not pay anything. :l

Re: Got shitty credit?

It's not a scam as in blatantly steal your money, I just meant scam as in another corporation that doesn't give a ---- about you other than your money.

annualcreditreport doesn't even try to charge you anything regardless. No middle-man like freecreditreport.

Every time you inquire into your credit, your score will decrease. Ask any mortgage rep. I have always had perfect credit. I value it.

Not exactly. A "soft" inquirey isn't even visible from anyone except you. A "hard" inquirey is when you apply for credit(loan9credit card, etc) and yes, that does lower your score a few points, but your scrore really doesn't mean ---- unless you're just worried about the number. :1 Yes, a higher score typically means better credit, but it's not the ultimate deciding factor.

When I request my credit report, nobody else can see this since it is a "soft" inquirey. Not knowing what's on your credit report is kinda foolish IMO. You have NO idea what could be on your report. :-\

Any credit card you fucked off or a cel phone bill you didn't pay....anything on your credit report. You can dispute that it's yours or dispute that the information is not correct. You would be surprised.

I need to do this on mine. Mine shows that I went to collections, but was paid the next month. I have never been sent to any collections. Also has an address that I lived at that I have never heard of.

You're a noob. Do you think you need perfect credit to buy a house? My old roommate filed bankruptcy and bought a house less than 6 months later. I would have a better chance of financing a home with my shitty credit than you would with your "good" credit. Wanna know why? I've had the same job for 8 years and probably make double what you make(not trying to brag). When it comes down to it, if you have the money to make the payments, they will give you a loan. What do they have to lose anyways? It's hard to lose money on a mortgage and over the next 10 years they will have made enough in interest off you to not care. :l You might get a better interest rate than me, but I would have a better chance of getting approved for the loan. How do you like your good credit now? :P

I don't think I need credit to buy a house. I have no credit at all, no cellphone, credit cards, car loans, anything. You probably make 5 to 6 times more than I make in a year with my baller ass 7.50 an hour. Deciding to go to university = retarded idea on my part. :3

I'm a do it yourself person, I'm pretty resourceful and I more or less hate people as a whole. I've met a few cool individuals but the over all mentality and value structure is not within my understanding I cant grasp the ---- that most people care about. I really don't want to work with these people when or If I break into the professional world. They're lazy, they bitch to much, they'll do anything to get out of real work, they want to live in some fantasy upper middle class world with nice yards and fancy houses, all while slaving away for someone else's dream. Talk about their kids playing sports, shop at the gap, live in a highly policed neighborhood with no O0's or :8's with a possibility of ^-^. I'd rather spend my time trying my own ----, starting my own business making an attempt to run my life, by myself for myself. Not working my ass off for someone else for a hope of a small slice of the pie in return. At least then I'll have some shot at autonomy, because thats all I want anyway, just to have to deal with who I don't want to deal with as little as possible. If I have enough to live I'm fine. I don't think jumping through societies social hoops to gain rank or position is going to help me out with my goals. I'm sure its great for a lot of people, guides them to information they would never check out on their own, allows them to work in specialized fields with like minded individuals on projects they would never be able to fund them selfs, it's just not for me. I'd rather try and fail and keep failing than give up and submit; thats just the way I view it.

Dispute it. ;) Chances are if it's a few years old it will get deleted.

rawr, I'd hate to break it to ya, but even if your plan works, you will ALWAYS have a "boss" or someone to look up to or someone who's ass you have to kiss. You will always be working for someone in a way. It might only be your customers or it might only be the other companies that keep your business alive, but you will always have a "boss".

If my plan works i'll be swing trading and living off interest from my company when I sell it. I've got this mostly figured out ;)

We're sorry, for your protection we are unable to deliver your FACT Act Equifax Free Annual Credit Report on the internet. There are a number of reasons that we may be unable to fulfill your request online. You may have a Security Freeze on your credit file, an Active Duty Military or Fraud Alert, or the identification information submitted online may not match the information on file.
they must have frozen my report because none of the other reasons apply
they also said i have a mortgage in my name from november 2003, which i dont

edit: thats what equifax said, i'm trying the other ones now

What do you need money for? I thought money doesnt make you happy. Why not give up on life and go live in a budist nonestary where you will have no worldly possesions?

Boost is rite. No matter where work or what business your in, you allways have top answer to somebody....and no, you don't need credit to buy a house.
