Not exactly. A "soft" inquirey isn't even visible from anyone except you. A "hard" inquirey is when you apply for credit(loan9credit card, etc) and yes, that does lower your score a few points, but your scrore really doesn't mean ---- unless you're just worried about the number. :1 Yes, a higher score typically means better credit, but it's not the ultimate deciding factor.

When I request my credit report, nobody else can see this since it is a "soft" inquirey. Not knowing what's on your credit report is kinda foolish IMO. You have NO idea what could be on your report. :-\

Any credit card you fucked off or a cel phone bill you didn't pay....anything on your credit report. You can dispute that it's yours or dispute that the information is not correct. You would be surprised.

I need to do this on mine. Mine shows that I went to collections, but was paid the next month. I have never been sent to any collections. Also has an address that I lived at that I have never heard of.

You're a noob. Do you think you need perfect credit to buy a house? My old roommate filed bankruptcy and bought a house less than 6 months later. I would have a better chance of financing a home with my shitty credit than you would with your "good" credit. Wanna know why? I've had the same job for 8 years and probably make double what you make(not trying to brag). When it comes down to it, if you have the money to make the payments, they will give you a loan. What do they have to lose anyways? It's hard to lose money on a mortgage and over the next 10 years they will have made enough in interest off you to not care. :l You might get a better interest rate than me, but I would have a better chance of getting approved for the loan. How do you like your good credit now? :P

I don't think I need credit to buy a house. I have no credit at all, no cellphone, credit cards, car loans, anything. You probably make 5 to 6 times more than I make in a year with my baller ass 7.50 an hour. Deciding to go to university = retarded idea on my part. :3
