Yeah I got back from the court room a few hours ago and the guy was a real ***** even though I know he couldn't read my shirt.
Seeing as how this is my 2nd time back for the same thing thats probably why. I brought my temporary insurance card they gave me yesterday, and a signed / stamped paper that says I have had continuous coverage since February on my car.
He still said "well this paper doesn't prove that there haven't been any lapses in your insurance."
So I got another court date for March 10 and I'm not sure how I'm going to prove that I had insurance on that day if what I had wasn't good enough. Maybe I'll make my insurance agent come to court with me, haha. I'll probably just have them print me off a reciept for September / October though.
Butterknife - what kind of car do you drive? Do you post on CII?

You will get a ticket if you don't have proof but in Illinois if you bring the proof to court they have to drop it judge can't change the state law if he doesnt like your shirt and even if you don't have insurance by your court date they give you a continuance and give you a chance to get insurance but with a small fine
As far as the insurance goes, just have them write you out a letter stating you have had non lapsing converage since Feb, and have them noterize it.
