And sometime between 1834 and 1838 several Germans make their way to Jamaica to work to support Jamaica's failing plantocracy.

Spain imported the first slaves in 1517 even though "white people" are being soley blamed for slavery. Read the last paragraph and you'll see that whites were slaves/laborers in Jamaica also.
