no! on what turbo? when I was running a dsm I lose boost at 14 psi on a sc61 and at 20 on a t3/t4 with the blitz steady at 21psi

blitz ss, adjustable spring pressure, plus the sweetest sound I've ever heard.

I have the HKS SSQV too and like you said it's more suited for higher boost. Under light boost and regular driving it sort of makes a fluttering sound, almost like theres not enough pressure to quite open it all the way. But, if I'm on the highway or making a nice full boost pull, as soon as you let off the thing SCREAMS and can get so high pitched it almost hurts your ears!!!
I do remember the spring being too tight from the factory, I had adjusted it every way I could but it was alway's way too tight. So, I disassembled the blowoff valve, removed the spring, cut the spring just a bit (I believe I removed 1-1.5 coils) then I streatched the spring a bit longer and tried to soften it up a bit. I put it all back together and as I described above is how it is today. I can live with it :y

I run no dump valve, compressor chatter for the win.

hey do you guys recomened recurculating ur bov, i know the ecu dumps fuel into the engine when it goes to atmosphere, but i kinda want to hear the phssst sound,

and do knock off greddys have the same sound as real ones.

If you have a MAF you should under no circumstance run a dump valve that vents into the atmosphere. Idiots still do it and their cars run like ----.

Re: Favorite bov

yea i do have a maf, ---- so you wont hear the bov at all.

Oh you hear it if you just have a cone filter and not an airbox. Some ricers go install the MAF downstream of the turbo, but only some MAFs will do ok under pressure. You need engine management anyway if you're going to do any modifications so I suggest you get Megasquirt, it has a MAP sensor so you won't need a restrictive MAF in your inlet.

One guy I know made a 2.0 turbo zetec, 7.5:1 compression and a T34 cosworth turbo and Pectel T2 ECU.
This is a plot off the engine dyno where it was mapped, it made a bit more than that after fixing problems run into on the dyno. Just look at that torque curve.
