Father & Son build begins soon

just an update, you'll have to wait for pics or till i have at least 90% of my parts

this is what we have so far
1) b16
2) complete sk2 stage2 cams,springs,retainers
3) edelbrock victorX intake mani
4) garrett t3/t4oe w/ stage 3 wheel ar and trim classified
5)speaco s IC
6) spoon s radiator (knock-off)
7) act stg3 clutch
8) stillen 11# fw
9) on order some eagle rods, weisco 8.4 pistons and hastings rings
10) kaaz lsd
and a few other things
the head and block are both going in for some work
head-- p&p and cc milled to pistons
block-- hot tanked and honed and block guard installed ????
this is all going in my 89 HB which will have a exstencive upgrade on the suspenion also

so what do you think lmk cause i'm open to suggestions
power #'s we are looking for around 500

the only argument we have is the management HONDATA OR NEPTUNE

CROME

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to make around 500. That probably depends on who's tuning it. Thats also a low ass compression. Also, whats stillen 11#? Good luck either way.

sounds like what you are doing is the same as what i am doing. except im going to use a b18a1 instead of a b16. make sure you get that head ported and polished ;) im not looking for drastic messures to where i need 500 hp though. 300-400 is good for me because its a daily driver. thats why i have my TA to build on ;D

Definately use Crome, you'll save money there that you could put towards other stuff. Unless you just don't want to tune it and a local dyno tunes Hondata or Neptune.

I agree with crome.

also, why not do it LS/vtec, you've got it all apart?

and.. that compression is quite low.. so it'll take more psi to get the 500mark.. without sleeves.. eehhhh i dunno if id put that 20+psi through it.

w/o sleeves, id aim for around 300-350whp (which is PLENTY for the street), 500 is going to be a pita on the street.

just my .02.

GSR cams, pistons and rods, decent manifold and that turbo will do the job. Other stuff is.. :6

hondata s300 if you have the money. I love mine, and ever since I switched to it my shits been perfect. easy simple setup and tune, no chip burning, no ostritch etc.

larger turbo.

-although the ar and trim is classified, so that doesnt really count for a recomendation I guess.

my next recomendation, LS bottom end. No replacement for displacement. THat would be awsome if you could hit 500hp on a b16 though.
