yeah, i got a y8 from cray91, i just dont have time to put it in. i have to finish turboing my friends tag, and start and finish my other friends vx/z6 turbo before the 28th.

I did the math for the 97 DX and the y8 ex tranny. The ex would be going 118mph at 7000rpm even and the dx would be going 107. so either your going over that rpm or something im not accounting for is happening.

idk, but the stock y7(dx) redlines at ~6600rpm, im taking mine to 7k. if that matters :S

someone tell MisterBone to look at this thread.

Oops, my dumbass got the tire circumference wrong.

(7000 * 6.02) / (1.172 * 3.722 * 88) = mph
42140 / 383 = 110mph

eh, i fucked up again. used reverse as final drive not paying attention. its only 110. but im pretty sure thats right. :

I'm about to go try this formula out in my golf to see if its right.

yeah i just did it too and it came to 109.xxxx. are you sure the formula is correct ?? or is my ---- just WAY off ??

I was going about 47mph in 5th gear in my golf at 2000rpm's even

(2000 * 5.91) / (0.80 * 3.67 * 88) = mph
11820 / 258.368 = 45mph

assuming these ------- ratios are right. they're different on every VW website i go to. and its to dark to go look at the tranny code.
