i love gasoline cars but im not going to put up with $3+ /gallon for gas for long and i know its only going up from here, if they make an eclectric car that performs better ---- i'll buy one if i can afford it, ps each cell has a fuse on the telsa so that doesn't happen, and that guy sounded gay

worse than that is the charging. while all standard modern lithium chargers are safe, the lower quality ---- will blow packs up. it's happened at many rc fields. guy puts up his lipo powered plane when the day is done. SUV is an inferno 5-10 minutes later b/c of the poor frequent charging.

How many hybrids are there on the road? How many of blown up/caught a blaze because of the battery?

How many Ford vehicles went up in fire because of their faulty cruise control modules?

My point is, when engineered properly potentially dangerous things becomes less and less dangerous while things that could be mundane and considered safe can easily become dangerously when engineered improperly. One can only hope the engineers look carefully at the battery issue and make sure it's safe for us to drive. If they do have problems, the electric car would have a very very short life.

im not a big fan of electric cars, but ive heard through my friend that the hybrid toyota highlanders make like 410 ft/lbs of torque if you know a certain code to input in.
like some ps2 cheat ----, you gotta push a bunch of buttons and pedals in a certain order. but then it will make that much torque and because they have electric motors it is instant.
i thought that was the ----. apparently you have to be trained in that electric hybrid crap though because my friend is toyota certified and he didnt know the trick to do it.
it was his supervisor or something. i dont know, but 410 instant torque would own off the line.

without TC prius's can nearly roast their low friction tires through about 10mph and they're not horribly slow to 15.

Johnny, you've got to be the most dense human alive. If you don't think the oil tycoons aren't in bed with the government to kill these kinds of ideas, you've got to be a moron.

Oil companies and the government won't benefit from electric cars, they would loose thier asses. That's why we'll never see them. Not because they aren't practical or wouldn't serve a purpose. You could still keep your turbo mustang, but it would cost you a ---- ton less in gas to go to and from work in an electric car. I find it funny that you will defend the government before you'll defend yourself. Get a clue.
