EG2 b16 Vtec water temp problem

Default EG2 b16 Vtec water temp problem
My friend has a del sol vtec and his water temp gauge is broke. It only stays on cold even after driving for long periods of time. I want to know the process to fix it because it must be an electrical problem..

replace the sender, see if that gets you any where. but it could be a problem in dash also
